This week, the Yeshiva hosted a special seudas preida in honor of the members of Kollel Avodas Levi advancing to positions in Klei Kodesh. More than a dozen current members of the Kollel will be taking up positions as Avreichim and Rebbeim in various communities around the country. Over 200 Avreichim and their wives were in attendance, magnifying the Kiddush Hashem and Kavod haTorah. HaRav Tzvi Krakauer, Rosh Chaburah of the Kollel, shared the idea that “preida” means spread out while still connected, that even though there will be physical distance, our chaveirim will remain close at heart to our Yeshiva, our Rebbeim, and our chevra. The Rosh HaYeshiva HaRav Aharon Feldman gave a bracha for siyata dishmaya in raising their families, for the mesirus nefesh of leaving yeshiva to affect the greater Klal. Two of those leaving, Meyer Meth and Gavi Sragow, shared personal thoughts of hakoras hatov to the yeshiva, rebbeim, and chaveirim for their growth and experiences. Finally, the Rosh Kollel HaRav Ezra Neuberger shared divrei chizzuk, that those Avreichim moving on remain steadfast in their “lilmod” pursuits even when transitioning to an additional “lilameid” stage, and that those Avreichim who remain also need chizzuk for the void left by their chaverim who are taking their unique kochos with them.
We wish everyone hatzlocha rabba in all their endeavors.
