Nearly 300 bochurim in the Yeshiva and Mechina learn Sefer Chofetz Chaim (or other Shmiras HaLashon-related chiburim) six days a week. Ehrlich Hachnosas Sefer Torah
On Sunday, February 6th Yeshivas Ner Yisroel held an Hachnosas Sefer Torah on campus. The Torah was donated by Mrs. Helen Ehrlich of Los Angeles, California. Mechina makes mass Siyum for Harav Sheftel Neuberger zt”l’s first Yahrtzeit
This past Motzei Shabbos, on the 1st Yahrzeit of HaRav Sheftel Meir Neuberger zt”l, the Mechina held a Siyum Melaveh Malka followed by a Kumzitz. Over 150 Mechina Bochurim participated in learning L’illuy Nishmaso. 80 complete Masechtos were learned and a total of over 5400 Blatt were learned for this mass Siyum event.

Mechina Siyum Yevamos
The Mechina celebrated a siyum on Maseches Yevamos this week where over 50 bochurim passed bechinos on “extra” learning. Rabbi Yitzchok Knobel, Rosh Kollel of the Yeshiva Gedola of Five Towns shared divrei chizzuk l’kavod the siyum.
Harav Simcha Cook Comes Home
Shortly before Shavuos, Harav Simcha Cook, was struck by a car and was forced to spend a couple of weeks in hospital. B’Chasdei Hashem, he returned home yesterday and the Mechina bochurim came to dance around his car to welcome him back. May HKB”H grant Harav Cook a refuah shlaima b’karov, b’soch shar cholei Yisroel.
Mechina Rabbeim Still Saying Shiur
Amid the Coronavirus pandemic, the Mechina Rabbeim have continued to give their daily shiur to their talmidim either via the computer or call-in. Special thanks to Reb Yitzchok Markowitz and Reb Dovid Cynamon for getting the program working.
