Tuition & Financial Aid

Tuition & Financial Aid

The Yeshiva feels that tuition is the partnership between the parents and the Yeshiva in providing growth and Chinuch to our Talmidim.

We encourage all parents to sign up for the FACTs tuition payment system. FACTs,  a company run by Nelnet, is used by schools nationally to collect tuition. This allows for monthly tuition payments to be directly debited from a bank account.

Any Questions?

How much is tuition at Ner Yisroel?

Full tuition for the 2023-2024 year is $22,000. This includes dormitory and meals. Our meal plan includes Shabbos and Yom Tov meals when Yeshiva is in session.

Are Dormitory and meals required?

Yes.  We encourage our students to stay in the dormitory to be able to maximize their time in Yeshiva.

What happens if a student leaves in the middle of the year?

We will prorate tuition according to the Federal Department of Education guidelines that allow for prorated tuition based on each semester.

How do most parents pay tuition?

The majority of our parents use the FACTs payment system (https://factsmgt.com/)

How can I sign up for FACTS?

You can sign up on-line here

When should I apply for financial aid?

We usually begin sending out financial aid forms after Pesach for the upcoming year for the High School, or after Shavous for the Bais Medrash.

I have always been told that I earn too much money, but I still can’t easily afford paying full tuition?

We strive to work with each family on an individual basis to make education as affordable as possible. Although our greatest intentions are sometime limited by financial realities, we often find that we can come to a satisfactory conclusion with almost everyone.

Who is making the decisions for scholarships?

A tuition committee reviews every scholarship application.  Rabbi Boruch Neuberger is the head of the committee and can be reached at byn@nirc.edu or 410-484-7200 ext. 6060 if someone wishes to appeal a scholarship decision.

I did not apply for financial aid and the school year has already started, what should I do?

Please apply as soon as possible. We will accept applications throughout the year, but the earlier we start the more likely we can work out a satisfactory conclusion.

Is the Yeshiva eligible for government grants?

Yes, as a nationally accredited institution of higher learning, we are eligible to administer student aid programs. Our students receive PELL grants, Federal Work Study and Maryland scholarships.

What is the Yeshiva’s school code for FAFSA?

Our school code is 002087.
